Responsibilities Work with policyholders to develop and deliver risk management strategies that fit their individual profiles. Implement sales strategies and tactics proven effective in maintaining and growing existing customer portfolios comprised of loyal, long-term clients. Remain updated on insurance industry changes and protocols to fulfill all policy requirements and monitor insurance claims from start to finish. Ensure bookkeeping systems, sales databases, and customer records are maintained to report progress toward monthly initiatives to stakeholders. Spend time listening to new and potential clients, assess their priorities and finances, and determine suitable insurance plan options that successfully meet their individual insurance needs. Qualifications Proven understanding of the insurance industry including insurance products, risk management, and any state and federal regulations. Proficiency with accounting or sales-related software is helpful. High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, customer service skills, and analytical skills are required. Some computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office are required.
