The role UMFC currently has an opportunity for a VFPRR Practitioner to join our team in a full-time capacity. As our next VFPRR Practitioner, you will work in close partnership with Child Protection to engage with children and families currently under a Child Protection Family Preservation or Family Reunification Order. Using a strengths-based approach and the Best Interests Case Practice Model, you will provide intensive, therapeutic, and trauma-informed support that prioritises child safety and fosters improved family functioning. You will collaborate with children and families to create, implement, and review individualised Child and Family Action Plans, ensuring their voices and choices are central to the process. Additionally, you will maintain the IRIS database, ensuring accurate and timely updates of services and case notes, and efficiently manage case closures while overseeing new allocations in line with Child and Family Services guidelines. You will also co-facilitate group work programs, promoting peer support and shared learning among clients. Your Experience Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field Demonstrated experience in Therapeutic work with complex and vulnerable families. Familiarity with Child Protection services and experience in Care Team Meetings. Proven understanding of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 and the Best Interests Case Practice Model. Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Team-oriented, innovative, adaptable, and emotionally intelligent.
