About the role The purpose of the International Engagement Manager role is to lead and contribute international activities related to foreign policy, trade and aid related initiatives to build SA’s international profile, brand and reputation. This role works with National and International stakeholders to drive SA’s reach, relevance, reputation and revenue through the execution of international engagement initiatives that align with national and international priorities, solve critical challenges and lead Standards Australia into the future. This role is an 18 month fixed-term contract. Projects 2025 The International team has a range of new projects commencing in 2025, including inbound fellowship programs, critical and emerging tech programs focused on South East Asia, and standards capability building for Pacific Island nations. Working as part of a team, the International Engagement Manager will take the lead on certain projects and provide support on other projects as required. What you'll do Support the negotiations to secure relevant externally funded international engagement projects Manage as required international stakeholder consultation activities on behalf of SA on key trade or aid related projects that support Australia’s national interests Identify, with assistance from broader team, regional initiatives that would be of benefit for SA to support or engage in (e.g. APEC SCSC activities, AANZFTA etc.) Act as the SA contact point as delegated and required for particular stakeholders Work as part of the broader team in building and maintaining strong relations with international stakeholders, coordinating effective and appropriate engagement across relevant departments at Standards Australia Work collaboratively with the broader team to develop and implement continuous international engagement business process improvements to increase the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of SA’s international engagement activities Project Management Manage the successful end-to-end delivery international projects, within predetermined time frames, budget and agreed deliverables Track, manage and report on the project schedule, budget, schedule and scope About you Degree qualification in business, marketing or relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience relevant to the role Excellent communication skills and proven capability in synthesising research findings as well as producing comprehensive reports Excellent graphic design and presentation skills Strong analytical, research, data mining, data modelling and critical thinking skills Skilled in using MS Office applications (including Advanced Microsoft Excel) and analytical/visualisation methods Working knowledge of Power BI, Salesforce and understanding of project management methodologies is advantageous Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint Experience preparing collating information, preparing correspondence and reports and taking minutes Experience formatting business documents and presentations Know-how or ability to learn tools such as Canva and Qualtrics Ability to use initiative, adaptability, flexibility and be able to work collaboratively is essential Culture & Benefits Standards Australia is proud to have been awarded the prestigious Employer of Choice Award for two consecutive years, 2023 and 2024.
