International Supply Chain Manager, Australia Job Category : International Requisition Number : INTER004204 Posted: January 27, 2025 Position Type: Full-Time Locations Melbourne, Australia (Remote) Description POSITION SUMMARY The International Supply Chain Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the growth and expansion of CKE Restaurants across Asia and SOPAC regions, fostering partnerships with cost-effective local manufacturers to produce products that meet CKE’s specifications. This position is instrumental in developing strong, collaborative relationships with franchisees, offering exceptional supply chain management (SCM) guidance and support to ensure alignment with CKE's global protocols and standards. Additionally, the role oversees the Australian market supply chain from farm to fork and works closely with the SCM Director for alignment to global standards and strategies. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS May perform any or all of the following duties: Manage end-to-end supply chain for Australia, align Franchisees on business objectives, performance, and outcome. To meet global business objectives, provide regional leadership and strategic direction on product categories. Support Franchisee SCM to manage and develop cost-effective regional suppliers by assisting/conducting periodic RFP, contract review, oversight on price review, inventory management, new supplier evaluations, and cost comparison versus import to drive cost efficiencies across markets and produce CKE spec products. Develop and guide Franchisee SCM personnel in New Country entry to achieve targeted opening timelines, competitive bids, and acceptable cost of goods. Research new market supplier base to determine best fit for critical product categories. Prescreen capabilities prior to facility visits by Quality Assurance department as well as manufacturer interest in participating in low volumes for start-up. Manage relationship with Regional and Global manufacturers providing visibility of CKE Growth strategies and ensuring regional operators are extended contracted pricing and services. Manage regional SCM KPI’s and Dashboard, present to FZ & regional leadership for alignment. Maintain an accurate database of International Suppliers / Products for the Region, and track and ensure CKE-accredited suppliers and products are used in all markets. Ensure regional operators are aware of and comply with CKE supply chain procedures and processes and that all products used within the restaurants are approved by CKE QA. Support existing country LTO and new product calendars. Identify and qualify potential strategic suppliers to gain Approved Supplier status by working closely with the Quality Assurance department and ensuring Franchisee or regional team alignment. Participate in developing procurement strategies, including requirements planning, alternate sourcing, timing of purchasing, inventory level adjustments, and inventory liability management. Coordinate with International Supply Chain Director and company’s domestic distribution for all US exports, including items, projected order quantities, as well as export certificates and/or documentation from the US. Manage and drive all key initiatives with Franchisees to ensure an uninterrupted supply chain. Ability to support Marketing calendars, working with Culinary, Marketing, and QA to execute successful promotions. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/CORE COMPETENCIES Minimum five (5) years of related purchasing responsibility for a regional / global QSR. Detailed knowledge of various food and packaging commodity markets. Solid knowledge of Category management, Supply chain principles, and operations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong background in analysis both quantitative and qualitative. Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook applications. Business degree in related field required. Position based in Melbourne. WORK ENVIRONMENT Fast-paced, high volume of activity, and deadline driven working within multicultural environments. Effective work relationship with FZ’s, internal leadership members, and supplier leadership teams. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Constant interaction with internal and external partners by phone and/or electronic communications.
