We offer the broadest range of denim styles, fits and washes across Australia and NZ to make sure we have the best fit for everyone. __________________________________ THIS OPPORTUNITY An opportunity has arisen to join our Planning Team as an Inventory Analyst (Allocator) based at our National Support Centre in Hawthorn. As part of the Planning team, you will play an integral role in driving commercial success across our Jeanswest business. Reporting directly to one of our Senior Merchandise Planner, this role is responsible for maximising sales via the effective management and control of stock for stores. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Liaise with Planners to ensure stock allocations are in line with store gradings, store space and budget expectations – ensure the business has the right volume of stock in the right stores at the right time. Follow up with supplier deliveries for each BP month are on track for handover, follow up with shipping to ensure stock is handed over on agreed date. Highlight late deliveries to Planners and communicate to business as required – with a particular focus on key ad lines. Collate monthly delivery report for Planners, Planning Manager and DC to work to continue to optimize the supply chain. Review ‘essentials/basics’ in store programs and report out of stocks and overstocks to Planners and Planning Manager. Manage the distribution of end of style units from Distribution Centres to stores in a timely and efficient manner. Preparation of end of season consolidation files and co-ordinate store actions. Prepare and update the releases on a daily and weekly basis and communicate to the business. Review store stock levels regularly, and liaise with Planning, Retail and VM to ensure we maximise stock to space. Liaise and co-ordinate with respective Distribution Centres regarding deliveries, stock transfers and daily picks. Provide support to State Managers and be the first contact for stores regarding stock issues and best/worst sellers action. Prepare feedback summary for Planners and Planning Manager on a weekly basis. Assist with new store set up. Conduct regular store visits. Assist with the preparation of reports for monthly, quarterly and post-seasonal meetings. Assist in the recall process to ensure recalls are actioned in a timely manner. ARE YOU THE BEST FIT? Tertiary qualification in Business or Fashion is advantageous. Previous experience in an Inventory Analyst role. Highly developed analytical skills and practical application. Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, to team members at all levels and develop strong strategic alliances. Initiative to recognise or identify potential problems and resolution skills to implement solutions accordingly. Developed PC skills in Word, Excel and Merchandise systems required to undertake daily duties. Ability to think laterally and be pro-active in identifying opportunities and communicating to Senior Stock Analyst.
