About the opportunity The Investment Governance Lead supports SA Power Networks in making sound investment decisions and provides governance and assurance that investment decisions and the ongoing management of investments are efficient, consistent and informed. The role is responsible for administration of SA Power Networks’ investment management framework which includes the development and oversight of analysis, reporting and recommendations. This includes: Profile and review our investment portfolio across different time horizons, aligned with our strategic priorities. Assess value of investment decisions. Drive alignment on investment decisions with business and regulatory strategy. Optimise the portfolio to inform annual budgeting processes. Track progress and health of projects and programs. Post Implementation Review (PIR) of projects and programs. The role provides effective governance services that ensures alignment of investment with committed outcomes across multiple stakeholders, including regulators, customers, employees and shareholders. Key Role Objectives Governance and Assurance : Support the business in making sound investment decisions and ensuring these investments provide the most value to our customers and shareholders. Process Management: Oversee investment governance processes including forecasting, external reporting, investment decision governance, scenario and financial modelling, and probity. Partnership: Collaborate with the business and Finance to support investment proposals, ensuring they are commercially sound and align with SA Power Networks’ strategy. Stakeholder Management: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Advise Executive on new investment proposals and strategic alignment. Minimum Qualifications Degree in Business, Finance or Economics (or related field) or the equivalent level of skills and knowledge gained through experience. Extensive experience in investment governance, portfolio management, or a similar role. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
