About the role We’re on the lookout for a Investment Manager / Principal who will be at the forefront of sourcing, evaluating, and championing high-potential investments. In this role, you'll: Investments Drive deal flow: Initiate and lead efforts to attract top-tier founders. This could involve creating content, hosting events, marketing activities, etc. You'll be the go-to person for innovative companies seeking investment. Lead investments: Undertake and manage the entire investment process—from due diligence, financial analysis, and securing Partner approvals to negotiating terms and finalising deals. Support founders: Provide guidance and support to our portfolio companies as a trusted advisor / mentor and board representative for the fund (where appropriate). Ecosystem Represent Giant Leap: Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and ecosystem engagements. Become a trusted partner to founders, known for your integrity and dedication. Build the community and ecosystem: Play a pivotal role in strengthening our ecosystem, connecting with founders, operators, and investors to make Australia the best place to build impactful startups. Team Collaborate with the team: Work closely with our General Partners and the broader investment team, mentoring junior investors and contributing to our collective success. Support fund operations: Understand the operations of our firm, including investor relations, reporting, and internal strategy development. Continuously seek ways to improve our processes, strengthen our culture, and uplift your colleagues. About you: Professional experience Has 5-7+ years experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, strategy consulting, or within high-growth startups. Possesses strong financial acumen with expertise in deal execution, structuring, and valuation. Experience managing people. Commitment to Impact Demonstrated knowledge / experience of working to create positive impact in your professional or personal life. Industry knowledge Is passionate about technology, entrepreneurship, and supporting high-potential startups. Holds a deep understanding of the Australian startup and tech ecosystem, with a valuable network among founders and investors. Skills and attributes Demonstrates exceptional analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills. Is a team player that will roll up your sleeves to help out wherever needed.
