As some other developers in the market struggle with greater competition, this developer is well funded and acquisitive - with a long term, institutionally backed plan. The Role Summary This role sits with the team that focuses on organic growth, within an investment capacity. They focus on building ground up investment cases to assess and get a development pipeline to financial close. Working closely with the (separate) debt team that runs debt optimisation and negotiation, this team is an investment assessment function and less of a 'deal execution' function. The investment analysis is used to 1) approve each deal 2) understand how the development pipeline is performing and 3) monitor the pipeline for planning and forecasting purposes. Responsibilities: Project manage and coordinate new and late-stage development projects through internal investment analysis and approval processes and execution of funding arrangements. Provide financial analysis and commercial review to inform asset management decisions, budgeting, and reporting. Support the (separate) corporate model workstream including management of financial models for investments, financings, acquisitions, and new business initiatives. Prepare analysis and presentations on existing and future business activities and growth opportunities for internal and external stakeholders including senior management, steering committees, board, investors, and lenders. Manage and lead the work of a team; provide motivation, encouragement, and opportunities for development; guiding them on financial modelling, market analysis, and other technical skills. Target candidate 6-10 years’ experience in in-house corporate development (likely infrastructure contractor, renewable developer, energy, mining), funds management (Infrastructure, PPP, renewables), banking and project finance (Infrastructure, Mining, Energy), investment banking or big 4 (equivalent) transaction focused teams specific to renewables. Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, power or gas sectors (desirable). Demonstrated experience in transactions (M&A, financing, renewable development).
