Blue Mountains Grammar School (BMGS) is a co-educational Christian School in the Anglican tradition for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Japanese Teacher to join our BMGS Senior School team on a temporary part-time basis (3 days per week) for Term 4 of the school year. The ideal candidate will inspire students and help them develop their language skills through creative lesson plans and interactive activities. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging Japanese language instruction, fostering a love for the language and culture Plan, implement, and differentiate lesson plans and assessments to meet diverse student needs Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback Cultivate a positive and safe classroom environment that supports student wellbeing and learning Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and academic performance Adhere to school policies and maintain professional standards in teaching and behaviour management Requirements Native or near-native proficiency in Japanese Previous teaching experience, particularly in language instruction NESA accreditation to teach in NSW Full Australian work rights Current Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain one) Kindly ensure that your resume is no longer than two pages and please include a one-page cover letter with your application.
