ASIC is seeking a Junior Cloud Engineer to join our Digital, Data and Technology Team to help deliver transformational change and key technology-related operational services across ASIC. This group unites our digital, data, and technology teams, supported by our enterprise program office, to deliver advancements while maintaining core technology environments and supporting our workforce. The role The Junior Cloud Engineer will play an important role in delivering transformational change and key technology-related operational services across ASIC. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative projects and collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals focused on enhancing our technological capabilities. More specifically, you will: Assist in the design, deployment, and maintenance of technologies across Modern Workplace, Networking, and Cloud infrastructure. Help implement best practices for availability, performance, security, backup, and recovery of technology services. Develop and maintain automation scripts using CI/CD tools, PowerShell, Python, Terraform, and platform-native APIs. Automate repetitive tasks to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort. Provide support for technology-related issues, including performance tuning and troubleshooting. Collaborate with senior engineers to resolve complex technical problems and implement solutions. About you The ideal candidate for the Junior Cloud Engineer role at ASIC should hold a relevant bachelor's degree and have some exposure, experience, or interest in cloud technology. They should possess basic knowledge of operating systems, networking, security, databases, and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and a willingness to learn are essential. In addition, you will have: A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 0-2 years of experience working with cloud technologies. Basic knowledge of operating systems, networking, security, databases, compute, storage, and related cloud services. Experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
