Junior Customer Support Engineer About the Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity based in Brisbane for a Junior Customer Support Engineer to join Tait Communications Asia Pacific Team, reporting to the Customer Support Centre Manager. This role is primarily responsible for providing high-quality technical support to customers, drive customer satisfaction, and contribute to the strategic goals of the organization through expert technical knowledge and exceptional customer service. Key functions of this role also include: Performing testing, under supervision, of network and terminal components and software to verify suitability for the customer systems and end users. Developing skills of investigating end-to-end network performance issues including isolation of issues to third party products. Following the Incident Management process and Problem Management Process you will maintain responsibility for incident resolution, whilst ensuring appropriate level of interaction with the Level 3 Support Team. Notifying customers of milestones and keeping them informed at all times. Ensuring technical documentation is immediately available. Distribute Technical Notes, Software Release Notes, and other technical information as required. Ensure customer friendly language is used to explain product changes, why they were made and what impact they are going to make. It is expected that some travel out of Brisbane to Customer sites within Australia may be required. This position will require some flexibility in working hours as there is a requirement to complete 'on call' scheduled hours to support customers outside of regular business hours. What You'll Bring: A practical knowledge of analogue, P25 and DMR radio systems, including RF system installation and support. A foundation knowledge of radio terminal features and programming. Software skills in UNIX and/or scripting tools, or an interest in developing such skills. Entry level customer service and diplomacy skills. Experience Required Previous experience in an ICT or wireless communication's technical role would be beneficial. Previous automotive electrical equipment installation experience would be beneficial. Familiar with the concepts of ITIL Service Management principles. Certificate IV in Telecommunications Engineering Technology, Engineering degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
