About the Role: We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Designer to join our Stylerunner team! Reporting to the Head of Design, this role will be responsible for the design and development of apparel product within Stylerunner.You will collaborate with designers across adjacent categories, as well as with the Head of Apparel, Head of Design, Product Developers, and Buying teams. Your key responsibilities will include the following: Creating and executing design concepts with a focus on colour and graphic direction. Concept development, interpreting trends and translating them into commercial product deliveries. Ahead of season sourcing – fabric and trims. Range building and sketching, presenting CADs and storyboards for design sign off. Creating thorough, detailed Tech Packs and inputting to PLM system. Working with the design team and garment technician to perfect fits. Liaising with offshore suppliers. Working with a product developer to ensure designs come to life and follow critical path. To succeed in this role, you will have the following: Demonstrated at least 1 year experience in a similar role. Ideally graphic design experience for design prints. Experience with pre-production approval processes – lab dips, strike offs, prototyping, sample approvals. Be customer focused, commercial and coordinate product ranges that both grow sales and position our brand as best in market. Thrives in a busy and fast-paced environment. Strong design eye and be obsessed with fashion and lifestyle trends. Understanding of fashion lifestyle and/or activewear fabrications and silhouettes. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent attention to detail. Must be organized with exceptional time management skills. Collaborative and strong interpersonal skills.
