Position Details: Permanent Ongoing, Full Time, 80 hours per fortnight Classification: HS4 Salary range: $85,000 - $97,000 p/annum (dependent on experience) Various staff benefits The Position: As a Human Resources Advisor/Junior Business Partner at Alfred Health, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing HR administrative procedures, ensuring employees can access their entitlements under our enterprise agreements, and providing accurate and timely advice and support to employees and managers as part of our Human Resources Services program. The HR Advisor/Junior HR Business Partner role is the senior role within the Employee Advisory Services team and the primary point of contact for escalated employee inquiries, providing vital support to the Business Partners, Alfred Health managers, and employees. You will oversee the team’s functions with regard to communicating information via SharePoint & other platforms, including organisational compliance matters. You are expected to work closely with the HR Advice Coordinators and Business Partners to ensure a strong level of visibility and credibility. Main Objectives of the Role: Key contributor to the effective delivery of the Employee Advisory Service in the Human Resources Services department, ensuring employees can access information about their employment entitlements under the enterprise agreements and get assistance with any aspect of the employment relationship lifecycle. Identify opportunities for improvement in HR processes, procedures and policies, developing solutions and implementation strategies alongside colleagues and management to ensure alignment with relevant agreements, legislation and the department’s objectives. Maintain the HR SharePoint platforms by updating information as required, including writing HR-related articles when needed. Act as an escalation point for the Advisory team for employee queries. Be the first point of contact for complex Human Resources matters and escalate to relevant stakeholders. Complete other duties including specific project tasks from time to time, facilitation and presentation, as required to meet department needs. Qualifications and Experience Required: An applicable tertiary-level qualification in human resources, business or health science. A minimum of 3-5 years experience in the provision of HR advice in a large and complex environment. A basic understanding of industrial legislation and employment law principles. Stakeholder management skills. Experience in all HR matters including performance management techniques and practices, complaints management, workforce planning, change management etc. Outstanding interpersonal skills and communication skills both verbal and written. Demonstrated integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality on sensitive matters. Staff Benefits: 5 weeks of annual leave + 13 additional days off (ADO's) per year.
