Junior Management Accountant (JOB-322155) Location: Melbourne, AustraliaSector: Internet & New MediaSalary: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per annum About Us Merchantwise Group is a leading brand licensing and digital media agency, providing innovative marketing solutions across various industries. This role primarily supports our digital media businesses, ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency. About the Role We are seeking a Junior Management Accountant to play a critical role in our financial operations. This position involves financial reporting, media budget reconciliation, transactional accounting, and compliance support . Working closely with the Senior Accountant and business leaders, you will ensure accurate financial data to facilitate decision-making and strategic planning. Key Responsibilities Financial Management – Process financial transactions, maintain ledgers, and perform bank reconciliations. Month-End Close – Assist with journal entries, inter-company reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Accounts Payable & Receivable – Oversee invoicing, monitor aging reports, and collaborate with Account Directors for AR collections. Media Budget Reconciliation – Reconcile media budgets, platform delivery, and client invoicing to ensure accurate billing and cost tracking. Financial Reporting – Prepare monthly profit & loss statements, balance sheets , and variance analysis. Budgeting & Forecasting – Assist in financial planning, budget tracking , and variance analysis. Audit & Compliance – Work with auditors, maintain financial documentation, and ensure compliance with policies. Process Improvement – Identify opportunities to enhance financial procedures and reporting accuracy. What You’ll Need 1–2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role in a digital media agency environment. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CA qualification desirable). Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and budgeting . Experience with media invoicing and budget tracking is advantageous. Proficiency in Excel and accounting software. Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills , and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to communicate financial insights to non-finance stakeholders. Why Join Us?
