The Junior Production Manager is a key player in the smooth operation of the production process. For those of you looking for career progression, this is the role for you. Reporting directly to the Head of Design and Production and the Operations Manager, this role oversees the coordination of multiple stages in garment production, from size set approval to quality control (QC) processes, shipping, and returns management. The coordinator ensures that products meet quality standards, are delivered on time, and maintain optimal production efficiency. This individual works closely with the Production, Technical, and Operations teams to ensure all stages of production are seamless and aligned with business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Production Coordination Arrange and dispatch all components (e.g., shoulder pads, bust cups, power mesh, labels, barcodes) required for bulk orders to offshore factories, ensuring timely delivery to meet production schedules. Monitor factory progress on bulk orders against the critical path, updating the delivery schedule weekly and communicating any changes or issues to the Head of Design and Production. Check bulk packing lists against purchase orders and report on shortages / overages to managers. Assist with upload of packing lists to WMS requesting COO certificates for shipments. Arrange care labelling requirements for all orders. Trims Management Order trims in the correct size breakdowns for international manufacturing. Track and report the progress of bulk trims for international manufacturing, ensuring availability aligns with production needs. Monitor and ensure inventory levels of labelling requirements are sufficient for fulfilling bulk orders. Sample Preparation and Approval Assist the Garment Technician with measuring pre-production samples (PPS) and preparing them for fittings. Coordinate size set approvals by collaborating with the Head of Design and Garment Technician, ensuring timelines are met and feedback is integrated effectively. Measure, review, and approve shipping samples, ensuring garments meet design specifications prior to mass production. Maintain tracker of shipping samples and coordinate shipping samples back into stock once approved. Quality Control (QC) Management Prepare and hand over detailed QC tech packs for third-party inspections, including all required documentation and instructions. Book and oversee third-party QC inspections to align with production schedules. Communicate QC results to the Head of Design and Production, facilitate shipping approvals, and coordinate with the Operations Manager for final clearance. Perform QC checks on bulk stock where required and facilitate stock movement to warehouse / stores. Facilitate fabric testing and dry clean testing reporting results to Head of Design and Production. Issue Resolution and Collaboration Act as a key advisor on production-related issues, offering expertise to resolve manufacturing challenges. Manage the return and repair process for stock from stores, ensuring efficient assessment, repair, and restocking. Collaborate with the Operations Manager to optimize bulk shipping processes, warehouse operations, and QC workflows. Team Communication and Reporting Ensure clear and regular communication of delivery schedules with internal teams, providing updates on factory progress and addressing any concerns proactively. Qualifications & Skills 5+ years experience in production coordination or similar roles in fashion or manufacturing, with experience in handling global supply chains. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with quality control processes and international manufacturing standards. Experience in Tech packs, garment specs and measuring evening wear / bridal garments. Experience in hand beaded garments highly regarded. Experience in excel, Cin7 and Adobe suite. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Size set approvals completed on time relative to the planned schedule. Components and labelling submitted to factories on time. 90% of scheduled 3rd-party QC inspections that occur on time without delays. Target: 100% on-time scheduling and completion. Average time between receiving QC results and final approval to ship. Target: Less than 48 hours for communication turnaround. Collaboration Effectiveness: Timeliness and accuracy of communication with the Operations Manager and other departments to resolve shipping and QC issues.
