About the opportunity: We have an exciting new opportunity for an entry level Sales Estimator to join our team, to complete take-offs, quotes for projects and sales costings. This role will suit a current Junior Estimator who is looking to grow their career, working with our Sales Manager to assess client requirements and provide precise estimates for our high-speed industrial door range. Full on-the-job training will be provided by the Sales Manager therefore minimal experience is required. We are looking for someone with a great attitude, strong customer focus, an ability to multi-task with a flexible approach to work. Primary Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates based on the plans and specifications, ensuring all materials, labour, and other project requirements are accurately accounted for Scoping tender packages and requests for quotes Read and interpret architectural plans and specifications On contract award, provide detailed handover documents, assists in project contract transition Drive process improvements to enhance estimating precision and efficiency Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to cultivate strong, meaningful customer relationships Excellent administration and organisational skills with high attention to detail Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in the estimating process Track record of relationship building and sales performance will also be appreciated Ability to work autonomously and well under pressure Hold a current valid driver's licence Following up on submitted quotes to closure Achieve new door sales targets Establishing and fostering positive relationships with staff, sub-contractors and customers, while ensuring company policies and procedures are implemented to a high standard Who are we looking for? To be considered for this role you’ll have the following experience: A minimum 1-2 years estimating and quoting experience Previous experience in automation, engineering or the industrial equipment industry would be beneficial Strong organisational skills, with effective time management and the ability to set and meet deadlines Personal Attributes: Be motivated to learn new skills and driven to succeed Be someone who is punctual and reliable Be someone who has a high attention to detail. Have excellent problem solving skills Be someone with the ability to multitask and prioritise Be computer literate and have a sound knowledge of Excel Be able to use their initiative What’s in it for you?
