Join us at Landis+Gyr, where we manage energy better! What’s the role? We are very excited to welcome a Junior Test Engineer to join us at Landis+Gyr. This role is a full-time and permanent position based in Mascot, Sydney. You will be responsible for developing and running both manual and automated test cases at Landis+Gyr. They will ensure that solutions and meter products are suitable for our customer’s requirements. This role is within an experienced and dynamic team which is designing and developing innovative new automated test methods to support Landis & Gyr products. Your responsibilities will be: Software Development, Product Testing and Configuration Perform end-to-end testing and configuration of electricity, gas and water meters, devices and software products before product launches to ensure the product meets requirements. Develop software using Python or similar programming techniques to create automated product testing processes. Work within a team to ensure test environments are ready and product testing is completed on time with the required level of documented test reports. Run or create new manual and automated tests to confirm the functionality added to products. Familiarity with GIT, DevOps or automated test software. Project Management Maintain test control for all projects in line with organisational standards and document the test results with verifiable proof. Maintain documentation for all projects to the required standards of the organisation. Documentation Predict, identify, troubleshoot, document and report abnormal behaviour and perform further investigation as required. Bug reporting in tracking systems on a per product basis. Use Microsoft DevOps for running both manual and automated Test Cases. What we are looking for: You will bring a minimum of 1 years’ experience as a Software Quality Assurance Test Engineer or similar. You will ideally have experience with programming languages such as C++ and with GIT source control. It would also be desirable for you to have metering and test automation knowledge however this is not essential.
