The role The Key Parts and Service Sales Representative is responsible for identifying aftermarket sales opportunities within a Key Customer base. This position would see you paired with a high-profile sophisticated customer where it is crucial to build a successful professional relationship and identify business opportunities where they may exist.You will take responsibility from the sales development through to execution. This position is a crucial support role and is pivotal to ensuring ease of business with the Key Customer and you must be able to take initiative through strong co-ordination and stakeholder engagement. Areas of responsibility Identifies aftermarket issues and opportunities and acts as liaison with customer through to completion. Develop sales opportunities for all Global business products, with a focus on Aftermarket products and support for all Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions (SMR) Business Lines. Conduct gap analysis on existing fleet to identify sales opportunities, trends or concerns. Builds strong working relationships with the customer through site visits, customer engagement and highlighting the value and genuine OEM parts. Collaborate with the customer to understand the equipment lifecycle and align Sandvik’s support & services to their strategy. Provides input to Portfolio Managers to address current or new product offerings. Develop commercial proposals and draft agreements for customers. Provides internal stakeholders with monthly status reports on business activities, opportunity development and overall satisfaction of customer base. Produce reports on customer and financial deliverables, including dashboards, data extraction, business strategy, and revenue insights. Assist the customer to uncover where underlying training opportunities could be valuable. Strategic stock planning and forecasting to meet customer demands, including alignment to fleet expansions. Your profile You will be flexible, self-motivated, and customer-focused, demonstrating exceptional communication and organizational abilities. You build strong relationships to understand the customer’s business and manage a well-structured sales pipeline, working well with internal stakeholders to develop sales strategies and achieve set targets.Agile and task-oriented, you will be a motivated self-starter, willing to accept challenges and build trust with various stakeholders. You also come with a high level of determination to achieve goals and deliver exceptional customer interactions. A trade qualification or mechanical aptitude is preferred but demonstrated experience in equipment and aftermarket sales and service is required to excel in this role.A proactive mindset and eagerness to advance your knowledge are key drivers for this position, along with the confidence to attend underground operations and the capacity to travel up to 50% regionally. Desirable You have a demonstrated history of high achievement in customer support or account management, with a strong enthusiasm for sales. Accreditation in business, mechanical or electrical fields is favourable, and aftermarket sales or service experience in mining, particularly with Sandvik equipment, is a distinct advantage. You should be interested in personal and professional development, with a background in parts and service, surface or underground mining, being highly beneficial. Agencies need not apply.
