We exist to create economic independence and equal opportunity for Aboriginal people. About the Role Play a pivotal role in the successful operation of ALPA's Café Kitchen based in Galiwinku. You’ll be at the forefront of creating a positive customer experience while leading and supporting our team. Your passion for food and exceptional service will drive our success.This position is based in Galiwinku, NT. This position is a fixed term contract. Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen. Supervise premises operations, including cleaning, maintenance, and repairs. Provide support to the Cook/Chef. Ensure the kitchen operates in compliance with licenses, legislation, and local requirements. Drive business development by sourcing new catering contracts. Assist in training local staff in kitchen preparation. Manage stock orders and control. Work rostered shifts in a small team across a 6-day week. Collaborate with all stakeholders to achieve the viability of the social enterprise. Champion ALPA values and demonstrate a commitment to work health and safety. To Apply You Need to Demonstrate Hospitality management experience. Safe food handling certification. Experience using electronic systems (POS). Experience in stock control and ordering. Understanding of the Food Standards Code Legislation. Ability to manage external customers. Strong leadership skills. Highly effective interpersonal skills, including proficient written and oral communication skills adaptable to various education levels, language abilities, and ethnic origins. Personnel management experience. Capacity to link daily activities to ALPA values and mission.
