Otraco (a subsidiary of BMSA) is a world leading provider of Earthmover and Off-road tyre management services to the mining industry. We have an amazing opportunity for an autonomous, astute and proactive L&D Specialist – Digital Learning to join our People, Culture & Governance (PC&G) Team. This role can be based in Western Australia (Kewdale in Perth) or in NSW (Sydney Olympic Park in Sydney). By working closely with various leaders across the organisation, you will have the opportunity to provide strategy and advice on training, learning and development, particularly in the digital space. You will also be responsible for the design of learning, development and training experiences for all employees that focus on values, strategic imperatives, upskilling requirements, core skills and online learning across BMSA and Otraco . The Role: The key purpose of this role is to support business operations nationally through the effective design, development and execution of digital training, learning and development programs as well as assurance, governance and compliance management across Australia. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Advise and support the Otraco and BMSA business with learning and development needs, as well as training compliance, to meet our business requirements / priorities nationally. Develop an emerging digital L&D program across the Otraco and BMSA business. Design the overall structure and flow of the learning experience in our LMS (aXcelerate) to ensure it meets the defined learning objectives. Create a range of digital learning solutions (elearning modules, online courses, videos, interactive content). Develop a range of enterprise-based learning solutions in partnership with SMEs from those areas, i.e., finance, IT, corporate planning, operations. Manage multiple, concurrent digital learning build projects. Support the delivery of agreed Otraco and BMSA programs including distributing communications, program management and recording of completed training and competencies. Sourcing external training opportunities for employees if required. Administrative governance of all Otraco and BMSA training, learning and development programs. Training, learning and development reporting out of aXcelerate and other data sources. Support training, learning and development strategy across the Otraco and BMSA business. Undertaking other L&D related activities as required. Manage the development planning process out of the performance review process. Support learning, development and training needs around health and safety. About You: Minimum of 5 years’ experience consulting, designing, and developing online and/or blended learning in response to technical learning requirements i.e., various technology, core systems or platforms. Minimum of 5 years’ experience designing and developing online and/or blended learning in corporate sectors and operational environments. Demonstrated advanced experience with a range of digital learning technology (LMS, authoring and design tools, delivery tools, etc.). Demonstrated understanding of challenges involved in an operational, multi-site environment. Demonstrated experience, skills and application across the entire learning lifecycle. Program and project management experience essential. The ability to demonstrate delivery of a significant program of work in a number of organisations, preferably operational environments/settings (5 plus years). Demonstrate the ability to deliver a program that spans leadership (culture), technical and operational perspectives. Demonstrated ability in implementing programs and learning content to support business strategy across corporate services functions, partnering and working with a variety of stakeholders. Experience in leading change initiatives and innovation in HR / OD practices across complex and geographically dispersed organisations and playing a lead role in transformation efforts. Specific experience in designing engaging learning products and the ability to design impact evaluation. Knowledge of adult learning principles and other notable learning design philosophies, strategies and theories, and the ability to apply those concepts. Ability to articulate learning objectives that are practical, focused, concise and measurable. Analytical, logic and problem-solving skills for analysing and identifying user needs, proposing solutions and logically organising complex information. Ability to transform complex bodies of information into professionally designed, engaging and effective programs. Ability to work on complex projects within (sometimes tight) timeframes, to multi-task & continually prioritise changing project tasks/deliverables and meet deadlines. Experience in taking the lead in learning design projects. Strong interpersonal skills, especially coaching and communications skills, including being able to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms and encouraging others to learn new and/or different ways of doing things. Ability to build and maintain relationships with SMEs, project managers and collaborate both in person and long distance. Knowledge and experience with common Learning Management Systems. High level of adeptness with course delivery platforms including intermediate-advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
