LEAD CLINICIAN - THERAPEUTIC CARER SUPPORT TEAM Reference: 8N5BF0FD External Vacancy – Open to Everyone Division: Department for Child Protection Location: Adelaide Salary Range: $104,180-$111,746 Classification: AHP3 Engagement Type: Ongoing Closing Date: 14 Feb 2025 11:00 PM Role Highlights Salary packaging + EAP support for you and your family + 11.5% Superannuation Lead the design and delivery of staff and carer education programs and resources The Department for Child Protection is seeking multiple Lead Clinicians to join the Therapeutic Carer Support Team on a full-time ongoing basis. Responsibilities Leading a multidisciplinary team in providing assessment, planning and implementation of specialised interventions to support children, young people and their carers. Providing professional consultancy, advice and educational services to DCP staff, other government and non-government organisations. Coordinating the development and implementation of comprehensive monitoring and quality control mechanisms. Promoting coordinated therapeutic approaches to supporting children and young people with complex needs. About You We are looking for an experienced clinician with a demonstrated understanding of the nature of disability and developmental delay, complex trauma, and the impacts for children, young people, and their carers. To be successful, you will have significant experience utilising clinical reasoning and advanced problem-solving skills to provide direction for complex situations. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to contribute to service development relevant to children and young people with disabilities and challenging behaviour, particularly those in alternative care. Special Conditions Essential Qualifications: An appropriate degree or equivalent qualification in either Social Work, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology or Developmental Education which entitles registration or membership with the relevant board or association. All requirements to maintain registration or membership must be fulfilled. Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification, may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).
