Job Description

Our Client is looking for a passionate and dedicated Workers Compensation Lawyer to join their team in Sydney. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of workers compensation claims, providing legal advice, and supporting clients throughout the claims process. This position is perfect for someone with 1-9 years of post-qualification experience in workers compensation law, looking to take the next step in their career with a leading national law firm. Key Responsibilities Advising clients on their rights and options under workers compensation laws. Handling claims from initial lodgement to settlement, including disputes and appeals. Representing clients in administrative hearings and court proceedings when required. Building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring clients are well informed throughout the process. Demonstrating empathy and providing clear, practical advice tailored to clients' individual situations. Legal Research & Drafting : Conducting detailed legal research to support case strategies. Drafting and preparing legal documents such as claims, pleadings, and settlement offers. Managing multiple files efficiently, ensuring all deadlines are met. Collaborating with other team members and external parties to progress claims and resolve disputes. What We’re Looking For A valid NSW Practising Certificate. 1-9 years of post-qualification experience in workers compensation law. A sound understanding of NSW workers compensation legislation and relevant legal procedures. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage cases independently while collaborating with a supportive team. Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills. A client-focused approach with the ability to empathise with clients and their situations. A commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for clients.
