About the role: Lead and manage complex insurance litigation matters, including: workers' compensation (60%), CTP (30%), and Dust Diseases (10%). Advise a diverse client base, including insurers, brokers, self-insured entities, and government agencies. Collaborate with a highly skilled team of lawyers and partners (team of approximately 18 legal professionals). Provide strategic advice on policy coverage, risk management, and dispute resolution. Mentor and support junior lawyers, contributing to the team’s development and success. The ideal candidate: Senior Associate (5+ PQE) with existing experience in defendant insurance law. Associate candidates are also encouraged to apply as well as candidates with plaintiff experience interested in transitioning into defendant. Proven ability to manage complex claims with minimal supervision. Strong technical skills in drafting legal documents, advising on insurance policies, and handling court proceedings. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain strong client relationships.
