Our Perth office is now seeking an experienced Lawyer to be part of their established Motor Vehicle Accident Compensation (MVA) team. This role will form part of the wider Work + Road Team nationally. Reporting to a Senior Practice Leader in our Work + Road team, this will be a permanent full-time opportunity, with flexible work options available. This role presents a rare opportunity for a proactive, passionate and results driven Lawyer who has previously worked for a plaintiff or defendant firm in Personal Injury. The successful candidate will work with one of our Firm’s most experienced and respected practice groups which will see you managing your own files and support team. Our MVA Lawyers represent clients with injuries that range from minor soft tissue injuries to brain damage and quadriplegia - because we care about the rights and entitlements of all road accident victims. Your responsibilities will include: Day to day management of MVA files Taking instructions, collating liability and medical evidence Drafting/reviewing Serious Injury Applications and Court documents Instructing and/or appearing at informal and pre-trial conferences Supervision, coaching and knowledge sharing opportunities with junior and support staff Continually exploring new opportunities for your practice and developing new business Forging and building strong client relationships What will you bring? Our successful candidate will be a committed and enthusiastic individual who possesses the following: Previous experience and a passion for Personal Injury law, preferably MVA but experience in other areas will be considered Exceptional negotiation skills and an ability to communicate effectively and compassionately Experience in running files end to end Demonstrated skills in effective network and relationship management Ability to exercise judgement and resolve problems quickly What next?
