Job Description

Meta seeks a highly motivated, experienced lawyer to serve as Lead Counsel, Competition and Regulatory. This position will help manage the company’s legal position and strategy on competition and regulatory related product and business strategies. This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented individual to join a fast-paced legal team and work on cutting edge issues with a broad and challenging remit. The position is based at the company’s Singapore or Sydney office. Lead Counsel, Competition & Regulatory Responsibilities Represent the company in connection with regulatory inquiries and engagements encompassing competition frameworks. Work with a cross-functional team to develop and implement long-term competition strategy. Help develop and execute legal advice assessing impact of competition laws and emerging regulations on current and planned product and business initiatives. Provide teams across the company with counsel and advice on competition matters. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years post-qualification legal experience. Significant competition experience, including in-depth knowledge of competition frameworks and engagement with applicable regulatory bodies in investigative, inquiry and/or merger review contexts. Experience representing technology companies in regulatory matters strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience in developing innovative and pragmatic approaches and business-focused solutions to regulatory challenges and developments. Proven interpersonal skills with an absolute commitment to professionalism and collegiality. Appropriately licensed and authorized to practice law as an in-house attorney. Preferred Qualifications Experience with APAC and European antitrust laws and regulators. Proficiency in an additional Asian language as the role will involve engaging with external stakeholders in multiple APAC jurisdictions.
