Lead Distribution Design Engineer Competitive Salary Plus SuperannuationBrisbane, QLDPermanent Role About the Client Team is expanding and requires a Lead Distribution Design Engineer to oversee overhead and underground distribution design projects. A leader in renewable power solutions and committed to being the market leader in the power and energy sector. About the Role Lead complex design projects for overhead and underground power networks. Ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Act as the technical authority, providing guidance to the team. Deliver high-quality results while maintaining project timelines and objectives. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of overhead and underground power lines, street lighting systems and power networks for subdivision and related projects. Partner with councils, electrical authorities, clients and internal teams to ensure projects are executed smoothly and meet stakeholder requirements. Conduct feasible studies to evaluate project viability and ensure alignment with engineering and regulatory standards. Perform quality checks, audits and in-depth technical reviews to maintain high standards of work. Prepare and compile comprehensive documentation to support design submissions, including drawings, specifications and project reports. Support graduate engineers, nurturing professional development and maintaining a collaborative team environment. Preferred Experience & Skills In-depth knowledge of MV/LV design, 240/415V/11kV/22kV/33kV/66kV. Experience in distribution design for DNSPs. Exceptional organisational and communication skills. Thorough knowledge of using AutoCAD and MicroStation. Qualifications Degree in Electrical or Power Engineering. Demonstrate expertise in subdivision, overhead line design and underground cable reticulation. A strong strategic mindset with the flexibility to navigate between operational demands and strategic objectives.
