Lead Electrical Designer – Mining Projects East PerthMonday to Friday, 45 Hours per weekPermanent, full-time position or Ongoing ContractWith a strong track record in design, project execution, and optimisation, they provide expert services to support mineral processing, materials handling, and infrastructure projects across Australia as a multi-discipline engineering and project management consultancy boasting around 90 staff. The company is a proud investor in people, and is winning multiple projects and growing at a rapid rate, meaning lots of promotional potential.Pearl has a rare opportunity available for an experienced Lead Electrical Designer to join a well-established engineering consultancy delivering a major mining project in WA.About the Role: As the Lead Electrical Designer, you will be responsible for: Lead electrical design for a mining project, supporting design efforts from Perth for site implementation. Develop and review electrical drawings and schematics for the Project, focusing on crushing equipment and mineral processing plants. Work closely with Electrical Engineers and Control Systems teams to integrate power and control system designs. Ensure designs align with Australian standards and WA mining regulations for large-scale processing plants. Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure design feasibility and compliance. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior designers and drafters. Support the development of concept designs, documentation, and project specifications. What do you need to succeed in this position? 10+ years of electrical design experience in Australia (WA mining consulting experience preferred). Strong understanding of mining and mineral processing projects. Competent using AutoCAD 2D and 3D (desirable).
