Lead Finance Business Analyst (CPA) This is an initial 12 month fixed term opportunity with a view to a permanent role. About the Company Davidson is proud to partner with a leading Australian bank within its Corporate and Institutional Banking division. This organisation is committed to delivering innovative financial solutions and driving digital transformation to enhance customer experiences. They are seeking a highly skilled Lead Finance Business Analyst to join their team. The Role and Responsibilities In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in developing customer-centric finance solutions and supporting the bank's commitment to delivering high-quality financial services. Your key responsibilities will include: Acting as a strong advocate for the customer and end-user experience, ensuring financial solutions align with business needs. Supporting the digitalisation and modernisation of finance functions to drive better outcomes for customers and internal teams. Enhancing the quality and relevance of management information to support key decision-making. Collaborating with enterprise data teams to deliver exceptional customer reporting. Taking an entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving and solution development. Analysing and mapping end-to-end data flows and processes, including requirement gathering, process documentation, and testing. Bringing together and cleansing financial data to ensure accessibility for finance professionals and business leaders. Embedding a structured framework to drive sustainable technology and business change. Supporting data specialists with finance and business knowledge to ensure seamless integration. Working closely with finance teams to deliver projects that support the future operating model. Engaging with finance stakeholders and subject matter experts to document requirements, facilitate solution design discussions, coordinate UAT testing, and oversee go-live implementation. Identifying and recommending improvements to finance processes and services to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Extensive experience working within or supporting finance teams. CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent) preferred. Proven expertise in data and reporting implementation within an institutional banking environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to source and utilise relevant information to develop effective solutions. Agile mindset with the ability to adapt and respond to evolving business needs. Solid understanding of lending products, deposits, and their impact on end-to-end management reporting. Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across finance and technology teams to drive successful project outcomes.
