Our services cover all aspects of a project life cycle from the initial evaluation and study phase through to design, constructions, commissioning and operational support. The Opportunity We are on the lookout for a motivated Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team based in our Brisbane Office You will have the opportunity to work both in the design office and on site dedicated to a project making real contributions. We are looking for a motivated and proactive Lead Mechanical Engineer with a desire to increase their technical knowledge and develop their long term career with GRES. Your typical day will consist of: Ensuring all mechanical engineering work complies with statutory and regulatory requirements and company policies and practices Ensuring Project conformity with regards to safety, environmental and quality issues Prepare and review preliminary and detailed designs for Mechanical engineering project work and ensure compliance with conditions and parameters set out in project scope of work Lead/manage the designated design engineering and drafting team to achieve project goals within time and budget constraints Preparing documentation standards, procedures, safe working practices and monitoring regimes in respect of work on or around engineering projects Technical review of tender documentation for projects so that project objectives (schedule and performance) are achieved Preparing maintenance planning data for all project fixed plant and infrastructure items covered by the project design scope What we are looking for: Relevant engineering qualifications and minimum 10 years professional experience in Mechanical engineering Demonstrated knowledge in the mineral processing and materials handling fields Knowledge of current engineering design and standards Ability to execute the design process in conjunction with all relevant disciplines and ensure design coordination of any multi-disciplined activities Be proficient with relevant engineering software used within the organisation, particularly excel, word and computer aided drafting tools. Ability to handle priorities and tasks with accuracy and excellent attention to detail Demonstrate high level communication and problem solving skills Full & unrestricted Australian working rights What’s on offer?
