Lead Wed Developer Department: Marketing Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: Sydney Description We’re seeking a Web Developer Lead to help deliver the best digital experience for our investors.This role will focus on the technical implementation of the website, including the development of new features, CRO experiments, and ongoing maintenance.Reporting to the Digital Product Manager within the Marketing team, this role will lead web development – with a focus on front-end development – across a range of products to help deliver success for all our business units. With help from an off-shore development agency, you will manage the technical implementation of the website, the development of new features, CRO experiments, and ongoing maintenance. Working alongside the Digital Product Manager and Assistant Product Managers, you will leverage your strong technical and communication skills to manage multiple deliverables in a high performing and dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Development: Build custom WordPress features, themes, and plugins using PHP. Develop front-end components using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js). Integrate third-party APIs and ensure seamless backend/frontend communication (REST, GraphQL). Experimentation & CRO: Implement A/B testing and CRO experiments in collaboration with product managers. Ensure smooth technical execution of CRO initiatives using tools like Google Optimize or Optimizely. Analyse and validate results using analytics platforms. Familiarity with event driven tracking Segment, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc Performance Optimisation: Deliver fast, responsive, and SEO-friendly website experiences. Profile and debug performance issues using tools like Lighthouse and WebPageTest. Sustainable Engineering Practices: Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following industry best practices. Ensure responsive designs and cross-browser compatibility. Use Git for version control and maintain CI/CD pipelines Skills, Knowledge and Expertise 8+ years of front-end web developer experience WordPress experience preferred to develop features, themes, and plugins using PHP Experienced in JavaScript/TypeScript Experience using AB testing platforms Someone that thrives in a collaborative fast paced environment Experience with Segment Strong written & verbal skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
