Job Description GPA is looking for a Lead/Principal Engineer to join our Adelaide team to fill an Engineering Management role in one of our large Hydrogen Projects . The candidate would join the project's technical leadership team responsible for leading the project team of around 20 engineers. We’d prefer to hire the successful candidate as a full-time employee, staying with GPA beyond the current project. We expect the role would be best suited to engineers with a Mechanical or Process background that includes experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams in complex novel projects; however, we are open to all disciplines. The role has extensive interfaces with our client and other stakeholders, project management, and commercial workstreams. Experience with and an appreciation for these stakeholders’ workstreams is essential. Experience in hydrogen projects is preferred but not essential. Technical experience in power generation and high-pressure hydrocarbon facilities will likely provide the necessary transferable skills required for the current project. Key Duties Guidance and leadership across all project technical issues. Direct client and other stakeholder interaction. Participation in Design Reviews, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, Risk Assessments. Facilitation of some may be preferable. Technical document review. Review and approval of TQ and RFI responses. Supporting project management with cost and schedule management. Desired Skills and Experience Desired Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, we are seeking candidates with a passion for quality engineering and client outcomes, great attention to detail, and with the following relevant experience: Technical leadership of medium to large multi-disciplinary engineering teams. Experience with hydrogen or hydrocarbon projects. External stakeholder management and interaction. Project management and commercial workstream interface experience.
