Learning & Development Specialist - Publishing Full-time Nine is Australia’s largest locally owned media company – the home of Australia’s most trusted and loved brands spanning News, Sport, Lifestyle, and Entertainment. We pride ourselves on creating the best content, accessed by consumers when and how they want – across Publishing, Broadcasting and Digital. As the Learning & Development Specialist in Nine’s Publishing division, you’ll lead the charge in designing innovative capability development programs to supercharge the skills of Australia’s most celebrated newsrooms. You’ll benefit from working closely with Nine’s People & Culture team, reporting through to the Publishing division’s Business Partner. What’s in store for your day-to-day? Unearth skills gaps through regular training-needs-analysis, ensuring our newsrooms have the core technical skills to stay on top of their game. Collaborate on key initiatives that level up the audience experience. Be the go-to curator for L&D resources on the Publishing editorial intranet. Evaluate training outcomes utilising a variety of measures, including participant/leader satisfaction, subscriber acquisition, audience engagement, and employee engagement. Dive into exciting workforce projects across the Publishing division. What we would like to see: A background in Learning & Development, or workplace training, with demonstrated experience assessing and designing a skills development program from scratch. Experience in instructional design, adult education, and/or training facilitation. Strong stakeholder management experience, including prioritisation and negotiation of competing demands. Certification or qualification in instructional design or human resources is desirable, but not essential. Experience working in journalism, newsrooms, media and/or communications is desirable, but not essential. Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion: At Nine, we are committed to fostering a workforce that embraces all aspects of diversity and inclusion and where practices are equitable to ensure our people experience a sense of belonging. From day one, you'll be encouraged to bring your whole self to work and will be supported to perform at your best.
