An opportunity is now available for an experienced Lecturer to join our Information Systems discipline as an Education Specialist. What you’ll do Reporting to the Discipline Leader (Information Systems), you will play a key role in delivering undergraduate and postgraduate Information Systems courses in one or more of the following specialisations: artificial intelligence and data science, cyber security, information technology, computer systems and automation engineering, design and interactive technologies and software application development. In doing so, you will: Develop and update teaching materials relevant to the Information Systems discipline. Deliver course materials utilising multi-modal teaching approaches to cater for a diverse student cohort. Employ a student-centred approach that engages students in the learning process. Undertake high quality critical scholarly reflection, evidence gathering and analysis to improve effective teaching practice and maximise student learning outcomes. What will help you succeed? To excel in this role, you will need: A relevant Doctoral or Master’s qualification and industry experience, along with a strong academic teaching background in the Information Systems discipline. High-level content knowledge and the ability to deliver Information Systems content effectively in an online, synchronous environment. Proven experience in implementing engaged and reflective scholarly approaches to teaching or practice, ensuring the best possible outcomes for students and their employability in the industry. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate well to people at all levels, using diplomacy, tact, and sound judgement to build constructive and effective relationships.
