About the opportunity With over 6,000 students and a global reputation for collaborative, transdisciplinary research, the Faculty of Education offers Initial Teacher Education programs in Early Childhood, Primary, and Secondary Education, as well as postgraduate and higher degree research opportunities. The Faculty is seeking a Lecturer in Education (Design and Technology) to play a pivotal role in delivering innovative teaching and advancing research in Design and Technology Education. In this role, you will: Deliver high-quality, student-centred teaching across face-to-face, blended, and online modes. Develop innovative curriculum design in Design and Technology and Initial Teacher Education courses. Contribute to the Faculty’s research profile through impactful publications and securing external funding. Build strong industry and community partnerships to enhance educational opportunities. About you You are an experienced educator with expertise in Design and Technology Education and a passion for fostering innovation in teaching and research. Your ability to engage students, collaborate with colleagues, and build community partnerships will be key to your success. To thrive in this position, you will have: A PhD/Professional Doctorate in Design and Technology Education or a relevant discipline, along with an initial teacher education degree. Proven excellence in teaching Design and Technology Education, including the use of contemporary educational technologies in a University setting. Demonstrated experience in curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation that enhances student learning. A track record in research or teaching scholarship, including (where possible) publications in high-quality journals and successful grant applications and supervision of honours/higher degree research candidates. Evidence of regular participation in and contribution to: research collaborations; placement partnerships; professional practice; staff development activities; relevant professional bodies; and/or community groups. This position is: Full-time, continuing (permanent) Located at either Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450, Gold Coast, QLD 4225, or Lismore, NSW 2480. Generous relocation support available. Academic Level B. The base salary ranges from $110,611 - $130,814 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $153,052.
