About the opportunity The Faculty of Science and Engineering is seeking a Teaching-Focused Lecturer in Information Technology to deliver innovative undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and contribute to curriculum development and research. This role will focus on supporting Southern Cross University’s international partnerships through on-site delivery and collaboration. In this role, you will: Deliver high-quality teaching in information technology, with a focus on artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Develop innovative curricula and teaching resources, integrating emerging educational technologies. Coordinate and support the delivery of IT programs at international partnership locations, including on-site engagement. Contribute to the Faculty’s research profile through scholarly activities and publications. Foster industry and community engagement to support the Faculty’s profile and priorities. About you You are a passionate educator with expertise in information technology, ready to drive innovation in teaching and curriculum design. Your collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high-quality, engaging learning experiences will be key to your success in this role. To thrive in this position, you will have: A PhD in Information Technology / Computer Science or equivalent, preferably with expertise in artificial intelligence and/or cybersecurity. Willingness and ability to travel to international partnership locations to support program delivery and quality assurance. Proven excellence in teaching IT in a contemporary university setting, including the use of blended and online technologies. A record of scholarly activities, including publications in highly-ranked, peer-reviewed journals and conferences and successful grant applications and industry-funded projects. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within diverse teams. This position is: Full-time, continuing (permanent) Located at Gold Coast, QLD 4225. Generous relocation support available. Academic Level B. The base salary ranges from $110,611 - $130,814 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $153,052.
