Base salary range: Level B, $113,934 – $134,824; Level C, $139,000 – 159,893 p.a. plus 17% superannuation. About the area The School of Allied Health has a reputation for a strong evidence-based approach to research and education that is used for policy and practice development. The School aspires to be a school in which staff and students feel valued and supported in their individual and collective efforts to improve community health and wellbeing. The Department of Social Work and Social Policy is located in the School and offers Bachelor and Masters of Social Work courses to students along with a range of Higher Degree by Research and coursework options. About the opportunity Deliver quality teaching and unit co-ordination in Social Work and Social Policy courses. Oversee the design and development of one or more units, supervision for student dissertation research projects, marking of dissertation projects and presentations, and supervision of HDR students. Undertake research and actively strive to obtain research funding, individually or in collaboration. About you A PhD qualification or working towards one is desirable. Demonstrated teaching experience in Social Work in a university environment; ability to administer and coordinate academic units in teaching and learning. Demonstrated experience in applying for and obtaining research grants and undertaking research. Demonstrated achievement and experience in writing and publishing journal articles and other publications. Evidence of supervision of students’ research in a university environment; high-level organisational skills and leadership qualities.
