Job Description
Legal Counsel - Compliance, Risk & Governance Our client is a prominent global company, committed to excellence and integrity in all of their operations. With a strong presence worldwide, they are dedicated to sustainable practices and compliance of the highest standards. They are seeking 2 x Legal Counsel - Compliance, Governance & Risk to join their legal compliance team in Brisbane. Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 + Superannuation + Discretionary Bonus (Base salary dependent on experience). This role involves advising on compliance frameworks, policy development, and risk assessment. You will play a crucial part in ensuring operations adhere to legal and ethical standards whilst balancing the commercial needs of the business. Key Responsibilities: Advise on compliance frameworks and policy development. Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to compliance standards. Develop and implement structural planning, policy standards, procedures, and guidelines. Collaborate with regional compliance officers and report to the head office overseas. Qualifications: You must hold a law degree and ideally be an admitted Lawyer. Hold a minimum of 2 years experience in risk, governance, company secretarial, corporate, or have 2 years practicing experience in another area of law such as commercial or corporate law and be willing to specialise in governance, risk, and compliance. Strong advisory skills and ability to develop compliance frameworks.
