Based in Mt Gravatt, the Brisbane design and manufacturing facility is the Head Office for Australia, SE Asia, India, China, Europe, UK and Africa operations. About the Role Reporting to the Legal and Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for reviewing and advising on legal risks in contracts and other commercial dealings to ensure regulatory compliance in a global manufacturing business. You will be required to propose, develop and maintain compliance with risk management solutions. Key requirements include: Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of contract law, tort law, company law, and privacy law. Knowledge of EU contract and data protection law is highly desirable Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of Australian and global workplace requirements Demonstrates an understanding of international manufacturing and trade restrictions Adept skills in reviewing contracts for legal and commercial risks Adept skills in researching and reviewing relevant legislation and case law and synthesising the law into a form that can be easily understood by a layperson An ability to research the regulatory landscape across various jurisdictions and to identify relevant laws as they may impact the business from time to time Excellent statutory interpretation skills Adapts to diverse regulatory environments and business cultures Monitors and stays updated on changing regulations Review and draft privacy and other internal policies to align with internal regulatory requirements About you To succeed you will need: A proven record, and a very strong ability to analyse and evaluate a broad range of legal and compliance risks across various regulatory regimes that impact a global manufacturing business Background in contract review including procurement contracts, sales contracts, and confidentiality agreements Experience in developing and implementing compliance programs and policies for global operations Prior experience in a global manufacturing organisation is highly desirable Is of good character, trustworthy, respectful, patient and a good listener Interacts well with others and appreciates working flexibly within a team If you believe you have the drive and determination to succeed in this role, please apply online.
