Leisure & Activities Officer - Aged Care We are looking for an enthusiastic Leisure & Activities Officer to join our friendly and close-knit team at Calvary Capel Sound, VIC!We offer permanent part-time shifts! About the role The Leisure & Activities Officer is part of an integrated team of people working within an established and agreed framework supporting the resident to live their best life. Your main duties will include: Respecting every resident's individual character, personality, and right to independence to continue an enjoyable, healthy, and productive lifestyle. Developing formal and informal activity programs designed to improve and maintain the quality of life of residents. Providing social and recreational programs that meet the needs of the residents. About you Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle or other relevant qualification. Current First Aid Certificate. Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal. Experience in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities and programs for frail people with cognitive impairment and other disabilities. Ability to document assessments, care plans, and progress notes to meet legislative, funding, and quality improvement requirements. Ability to work and communicate with people of all ages and cognitive abilities and to obtain their trust and cooperation.
