Reference number: 10386 Closing date: 28th February 2025 Part-Time Permanent Salary commencing at $38.45 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation An exciting opportunity to work in the library space at Moonee Valley City Council. Library Band 3. The Opportunity This position will see you play a key role in providing high quality customer service within the Library and Learning department. This position supports the community by assisting with general library services, including technology use, information inquiries, and day-to-day operations. Responsibilities Provide a proactive and customer-focused approach to library service delivery. Undertake customer service duties as rostered, including working at different library locations, to support the efficient operation of the library service. Assist library customers with use of technology and equipment including computers, photocopiers, wireless internet access, online resources, eBooks, library apps and mobile devices. Collaborate with staff to promote library services and maintain community notice boards. Efficiently manage time and apply organisational skills to prioritise tasks in a busy customer service environment. Maintain collection through regular shelf reading and shelving. Deliver quality information services and refer queries to specialist staff or supervisor when necessary. Skills & Experience Satisfactory completion of a Year 12 qualification. Demonstrated experience in customer service. Experience working in public libraries is desirable.
