Litigation & Commercial Lawyer (2+ years PAE) About the role Stephens Lawyers & Consultants are seeking a Litigation & Commercial Lawyer with 2+ years of post-admission experience to join our thriving Melbourne-based practice. This is a full-time role, offering the opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial litigation matters and transactional work for our expanding client base. What you'll be doing Advising clients on commercial disputes, debt recovery, contractual matters and other litigation proceedings Preparing court documents, conducting legal research, and representing clients in court as required Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, leases, and other legal documents Providing practical, solutions-focused legal advice to business clients across various industries Building strong relationships with clients and collaborating with the broader legal team Participating in business development activities to identify new opportunities What we're looking for 2+ years of post-admission experience in commercial litigation and/or transactional work Strong technical legal skills and a demonstrated ability to handle a diverse caseload Excellent communication and client relationship skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in plain language A proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality work Enthusiasm for contributing to the firm's growth and development Relevant degree and current practising certificate What we offer Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses Ongoing professional development and training opportunities Flexible work arrangements and a healthy work-life balance Supportive and collaborative team environment Opportunities for career progression and leadership roles About us Stephens Lawyers & Consultants is a leading commercial law firm based in Melbourne.
