Local and Indigenous Engagement Coordinator Local and Indigenous Engagement Coordinator Due to significant growth and recently securing a number of major WA Infrastructure projects, Georgiou is seeking an experienced Local & Indigenous Participation Coordinator. Working within our project teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing advice and support to maximise Indigenous employment, procurement, and community outcomes on our projects. What We Are Seeking: Previous experience in a similar role within the Civil Construction industry Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written Previous experience with Indigenous communities and businesses Strong IT skills Good time management skills Ability to work unsupervised and within a team What To Expect in This Role: Develop strong relationships with external stakeholders, subcontractors and suppliers to assist in driving Indigenous outcomes on projects, including procurement, cultural and community commitments Support Indigenous recruitment and develop strategies to increase employment, retention and training Mentor Indigenous trainees, apprentices and employees to maximise retention and career prospects Work with Indigenous Subcontractors to assist them in understanding the commercial requirements of projects Liaise with relevant stakeholders to provide employment and training opportunities for Indigenous people seeking Cadetships, Scholarships, Apprenticeships, Traineeships and direct employment Work with the local community and internal stakeholders to celebrate Indigenous culture and education Support projects to develop capacity to meet Indigenous employment and procurement targets Provide reports and status updates on Indigenous employment, procurement and engagement targets Manage Government training fund administration What We Can Offer: Competitive salary package Paid parental leave Flexible work arrangements available Growing business with exciting career development opportunities The opportunity to work with a diverse and engaged group of people Georgiou is committed to an inclusive workforce and strongly encourages applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and people from culturally diverse backgrounds.
