Salary : AUD75 - AUD85 per hour + super Position : Locum Mental Health Clinician Location : Regional NSW Duration : 12 weeks (ASAP start) Pay Rate : $75 - $85 per hour + super Travel & Accommodation : Provided FOC About the Role : Mars Healthcare is seeking an experienced Locum Mental Health Clinician for a 12-week contract with an Emergency Consultation Service in Regional NSW. This role requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience to provide immediate and critical mental health support in an emergency setting. Key Responsibilities : Deliver expert mental health consultation services in an emergency environment. Conduct assessments, crisis interventions, and develop immediate care plans. Work closely with emergency department staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Provide support and resources to patients and their families during crises. Ensure continuity of care by coordinating with community mental health services post-discharge. Qualifications and Experience : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant mental health field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology). Minimum of 5 years of experience in a mental health setting, preferably in emergency or acute care. Current registration with the appropriate Australian professional body (e.g., AASW, AHPRA). Strong crisis intervention skills and ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. What We Offer : Competitive hourly rate between $75 and $85 + super.
