About the Opportunity We are currently building a brand-new glass manufacturing and remanufacturing facility in Yatala between Brisbane and Gold Coast. The factory represents the large investment we have ever made, recycling up to 200,000 tonnes of Queensland’s glass annually to produce 1 billion bottles a year. The new state of the art automated plant is expected to be operational in Q4 2025. 18 months Fixed term based in Yatala What you will do This role is responsible for coordinating and managing the on-site and off-site logistics associated with the construction project. You will ensure that all plant and equipment is available when required for installation by controlling all aspects of the associated logistics, storage, and laydown areas. This includes: Be the single point of accountability within the project for all logistics matters Lead the ground logistics team Develop and implement a fit-for-purpose operating model for the project Manage the on-site laydown yards and data records to ensure accurate location recording Manage all material across the various holding yards Manage the pick and pack of items from the laydown yard to site Analyze and identify discrepancies between the manifest and actual status and act appropriately Develop and maintain issue logs and project repositories of documents Manage a mobile equipment and labour budget What you will bring to the team: Senior logistics/supply chain operational experience, ideally having worked on large building projects Knowledge of relevant industry regulations coupled with experience in sea freight and container handling Highly self-motivated and resilient, assertive, and not afraid to make decisions A continuous improvement mindset with good change management experience Able to build strong relationships, both external and internal, which will be crucial to the success of this role What you’ll love when you join us: Sustainability: Contribute to sustainability initiatives that make a difference.
