Job Description

The Logistics Officer manages and receipts incoming inventory. They ensure any discrepancies are resolved or brought to the attention of the Warehouse Supervisor, and that all documentation is recorded appropriately. The Logistics Officer operates forklifts and other manual handling equipment in order to move inventory around the warehouse to maximise storage, space and efficiency, and facilitate internal deliveries. The Logistics Officer is responsible for maintaining the supply chain for circulating coin, including supporting the Warehouse Supervisor to process withdrawn coin claims. They monitor the security, control, storage and disposal of serialised inventory and Mint uniforms. They also complete daily tasks such as receiving incoming goods and completing internal stores requests. In addition, the Logistics Officer provides support to the dispatch section to fulfil and dispatch orders. The duties of this position include: Managing and receipting incoming inventory, resolving discrepancies and ensuring data is recorded in the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system. Actioning store requests, and facilitating internal deliveries and the movement of goods. Monitoring the security, control, storage and disposal of serialised inventory to maximise warehouse space and efficiency. Maintaining the supply chain for circulating coin, including processing sales orders. Supporting the Warehouse Supervisor with processing withdrawn coin claims, ensuring appropriate records are maintained. Operating forklifts and other manual handling equipment. Supporting the dispatch section with dispatching goods, managing purchase order receipts and facilitating the delivery of circulating coins. Assisting with periodical stocktakes to ensure accurate inventory management. Security clearance This position requires a Baseline security clearance.
