A strong focus on quality while providing exceptional service.About the role An autonomous position remotely reporting to the General Manager, you will be based in Gunnedah and be responsible for managing the transport operation from mine site to coal preparation plant, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and best practice.Accommodation can be provided along with a DIDO roster. Duties Resource allocation – manage operations, schedules, budgets, and resources to exceed expectations. Ensure safety and compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimise disruptions and delays. Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders – drivers, maintenance, clients, and senior management. Financial management – cost control, monitor expenses, reporting on performance. Provide regular reporting to senior management. Skills & experience We seek an experienced logistics/transport manager, ideally with a background in heavy haulage or bulk freight. You will preferably have mining experience; however, we place as much importance on your leadership, influencing, and communication skills across a broad spectrum of individuals. With a focus on safety and an understanding of NHVR and legislative standards with solid computer skills. You will be required to hold an Order 43 medical or be willing to obtain one.Benefits Autonomy – remote reporting to GM who is based in QLD. Strategic leadership position.
