Provide direct line management to the team, coordinating workloads and offering support to achieve targets. Monitor and resolve operational issues, ensuring performance and quality standards are met. Develop team members by focusing on individual performance, training, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Key Relationships: Line Manager EVC UK Management Contract Logistics Management Contract Logistics Colleagues Contract Logistics Clients Key Responsibilities and Tasks: Leadership & Team Management Lead daily performance management of the team with a hands-on approach, providing coaching, motivation, and guidance. Act as a role model by demonstrating effective and respectful workplace behaviors. Ensure all team members receive adequate and appropriate training based on Standard Operating Procedures and safe work practices. Monitor and assess team performance, identifying and addressing training needs or performance concerns. Manage attendance, timekeeping, and absence in line with company policy. Carry out leadership responsibilities in accordance with EVC policies and procedures. Operational Efficiency & Compliance Achieve and exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while maintaining high levels of customer service. Ensure compliance with all EVC policies and procedures, including disciplinary and grievance processes where necessary. Oversee inbound, outbound, and pick movements through the Warehouse Management System (WMS). Identify and proactively resolve operational challenges and implement effective solutions. Recommend and support continuous improvement initiatives for system and process efficiencies. Address operational challenges effectively and implement counter-measures for non-conformance issues. Health & Safety Champion Health & Safety within the Fulfilment Centre, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and improving housekeeping standards. Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and report any issues to the line manager. Drive maximum attendance levels and ensure adherence to safety procedures and risk assessments. Communication & Coordination Maintain regular communication with the team regarding priorities, targets, progress, and operational needs. Collaborate with management and key stakeholders to ensure seamless operations. Provide feedback and reports on team performance and operational challenges. Additional Duties Undertake any other duties as assigned by the line manager. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Compliance with contract-specific Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and KPIs. Reduction in Health & Safety incidents or near-misses. Extensive experience working in a 3PL shared-user facility. Proven track record in leading teams. Effective resource planning capabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Hands-on leadership approach. Strong focus on Health & Safety. Proficiency in WMS, Outlook, and MS Office. Ideal Requirements (in addition to the essential requirements): Experience with LEAN, Six Sigma, or 5S methodologies.
