Job Description

Assist with the maintenance and repair of farm machinery including some high-tech equipment. 03rd March, 2025 ofi is a leading global integrated supply chain manager, processor and grower of agricultural products and food ingredients, supplying various products across 16 platforms to over 13,000 customers worldwide. The Maintenance Technician vacancy at our Mildura Warehouse assists with the maintenance and repair of all types of farm machinery with a focus on general equipment. Key Accountabilities Machinery Maintenance: Perform planned and preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs as required. Assist in the establishment of quality assurance procedures and practices for equipment repair and liaising with farm staff to coordinate servicing and repairs to orchard machinery and equipment. Supplier Management: Liaise with service providers and contractors to ensure timelines and scoped works are conducted within the planned maintenance programs in a safe environment. Additional Requirements: Travel to other ofi sites within the region to perform necessary duties. To be successful in this role, you ideally will have: Proven hands-on experience working on different types of machinery in a similar role (experience in the horticultural or Almond sector, specifically in orchard equipment and/or Almond harvest equipment repairs and maintenance though not necessary would be highly regarded). Experience diagnosing electrical/electronic, hydraulic, fuel and mechanical systems. Good understanding of programmed machinery maintenance, with capable computer and risk assessment skills. Passionate about continual improvement. We encourage candidates with Fitter/Turner, mechanical trade qualification in Light vehicle / Mobile plant or Heavy commercial vehicle repairs to apply.
