About the Role This high-profile position sits at the heart of TAFE SA’s strategic operations. Reporting to the Executive Manager, Office of the Chief Executive, you’ll manage a team of skilled professionals and ensure the seamless delivery of critical projects, initiatives, and administrative support. As the Manager, Government and Board Relations, you will be a trusted advisor to the Chief Executive and Board, providing expert analysis, actionable insights, and high-level briefings on sensitive and complex matters. Your leadership will play a pivotal role in shaping decisions that influence the future of vocational education in South Australia. Key Responsibilities: Lead the planning, development, and implementation of key projects aligned with government and board priorities. Provide expert advice, research, and high-level briefings to the Chief Executive and other senior stakeholders. Manage complex, sensitive, and politically significant matters with discretion and professionalism. Drive process improvement, leveraging new technologies to enhance team performance. Oversee the recruitment and appointment processes for Board Directors and manage sensitive government, Parliamentary, and Cabinet matters. Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the South Australian Government, VET sector, and TAFE SA. Who We’re Looking For We are seeking an exceptional leader with a proven track record in government and board relations. The successful applicant will have: Extensive experience managing high-performing teams and leading complex projects. Proven ability to produce sensitive, high-level advice and briefings for senior stakeholders. Expertise in government administration, Parliamentary processes, and stakeholder engagement. Strong leadership skills with a focus on driving performance, change management, and strategic outcomes. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
