About the role: The Manager, FOI & Information Release is responsible for leading, developing, implementing and evaluating information release operations of the department, in line with legislation, public sector initiatives and the Department’s policies, procedures and targets. The position significantly contributes to the achievement of Departmental objectives by providing high-level specialised leadership and direction across the Department for the effective and efficient management of information release services, providing advice and oversight of department records throughout their life cycle, which includes identifying, classifying, storing, securing, retrieving, tracking and destroying or permanently preserving records (offsite and onsite records storage). As well as leading the effective management of departmental employees to support and promote openness and accountability in the administration of legislative and policy compliance administrative obligations. Qualifications: Essential: Nil.Desirable: A tertiary qualification relevant to education, public administration, public policy or equivalent experience. Special conditions: The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years. For all other Special Conditions please refer to the attached Position Description. Remuneration: MAS3 $127,859 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%).
